OWL PROWL

Join Environmental Educator Carl Heitmuller for the evening to learn about what species of owls are native to our region and their incredible adaptations. Meet a live owl from the Nature Museum’s collection, and then bundle up and venture outdoors (around 30 minutes) as we try our hand at calling in one of these nocturnal raptors. Please dress warmly and bring a camping chair if possible

STARGAZING: WINTER CONSTELLATIONS

Join Environmental Educators Tori & Taylor to observe the winter hexagon– aka the winter circle– a collection of the Northern Hemisphere’s brightest stars (Taurus, Orion, Canis Minor, Canis Major, Gemini and Aurigo). Make sure to dress warmly. Bring a blanket, flashlight and a lawn chair. Refreshments will be provided (warm beverages and cookies).
