Sugar Loaf — Several new shows added to the Spring line-up at the Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts in Sugar Loaf. On Saturday, March 5 at 8 p.m., the New Shanghai Circus will appear. Organizers said these athletes “defy gravity and execute breathtaking feats as they stretch the limits of human ability in this spellbinding show.” Also added is the “Piano Jazz Summit” on Sunday, March 27 at 7 p.m., starring Cedar Walton, Jacky Terrasson and Hiromi Uehara. On Saturday, May 14 at 8 p.m., there will be a performance of Alfred Hitchcock’s award-winning “The 39 Steps,” Broadway’s longest-running comedy thriller. Performed by a cast of four, the play follows a man with a boring life as he meets a woman with a thick accent who says she’s a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon after, a mysterious organization called “The 39 Steps” is hot on the man’s trail in a nationwide manhunt. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 469-2287.
