‘Music Man' marches into Lycian on Jan. 28

Sugar Loaf — Kings Theatre Company will present “The Music Man” at the Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts in Sugar Loaf on Friday, Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. The original Broadway production, directed by Morton DaCosta and choreographed by Onna White, opened on Dec. 19, 1957 at the Majestic Theatre. It won five Tony awards, including Best Musical, even beating out “West Side Story.” The original cast included Robert Preston as Harold Hill, Barbara Cook as Marian, and Eddie Hodges as Winthrop. Tickets are $46.55 to $53.90. There is a youth discount for 18 years old and younger.
