Monroe Free Library hosting programs on gardening, painting and eBooks

MONROE — Registration is now open for the following programs at the Monroe Free Library:

Monday, May 7, 1:30 to 3 p.m. Library eBooks 101: Kindle. Learn to download eBooks to your Kindle device. You must have an Amazon account set up before you attend class.

Bring your device and your laptop computer (if you have one). Adults; $5 deposit is refunded at class time.

Tuesday, May 8, 2 to 3 p.m. Computer class: E-mail I. This class involves basic sign up for a web-based e-mail account; $5 deposit is refunded at class time.

Tuesday, May 8, 7 to 9 p.m. Garden Program. Learn the art of gardening. Class will go home with a plant. Adults; $5 materials fee.

Tuesday, May 15, 7 to 9 p.m. Painting Class. Join us for a night of painting. Project to be announced. Adults; $5 materials fee.

Thursday, May 24, 2 to 4 p.m. Afternoon movie and refreshments: Enjoy an afternoon movie or documentary with related refreshments. Adults. Free but registration required.

The Book Garden is open according to the following schedule:

Wednesdays, 2-4 p.m. Thursdays, 2-5 p.m.

Fridays, 1-5 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. except on May 12 and May 26 the hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
