Monroe Free Library adds new museum passes for patron use
MONROE — The Monroe Free Library has welcomed two new additions to its collection of museum passes: The New York Transit Museum and the Empire Pass.
The New York Transit Museum pass grants admission for two adults and up to four children and may be checked out for up to three days.
The second pass, known as the Empire Pass, also joins the selection of museum passes offered to the library’s patrons. This pass provides entry for a single vehicle to most facilities operated by New York State Parks and the State Department of Environmental Conservation including beaches, forests, trails and more.
Unlike the other museum passes offered by the Monroe Free Library, the Empire Pass may be checked out for up to seven days.
By extending the time it may be checked out, the library hopes to better meet the needs of those patrons who wish to use of the Empire Pass while traveling.
With the addition of these two new passes, the Monroe Free Library now offers a total of 10 passes for patron use.
