Jermaine Paul, 'Voice' top contender, to perform free Castle show

CHESTER Harriman native Jermaine Paul, a top contender in the hit NBC show "The Voice," will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 2, at the Castle Fun Center on 109 Brookside Avenue in Chester.
No tickets are required but a $10 activity card must be purchased for all unaccompanied minors.
Pauls love for music began when he was a child, singing in his familys church and at talent shows. His adoration soon led to collaboration with national talent, including R&B diva Mary J. Blige, the R&B group BlackStreet, and most recently vocalist Alicia Keys. In 2006, he was nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo for If This World Were Mine, a duet with Keys.
When Paul is not busy touring or singing on "The Voice," he spends his time at home in Orange County. He is doing a stretch of performances before heading back to Hollywood to continue his quest for stardom. The Castle is the only family friendly venue hosting a show.
I just wanted to give back to all those who have supported me here back home, said Paul. My performance at The Castle is a sort of going away present to my family, friends and fans before I go back to Hollywood to hopefully win it all!
The star hopeful will perform inside the new event room, which features a5,000 square feet equipped with a concert stage and state-of-the-art A/V technology.
Were so excited to have Jermaine singing here at The Castle Fun Center, said owner Brian Leentjes. Jermaines become a great inspiration here at home. Its such an honor to have a local, aspiring artist who is rising through the ranks and achieving his dreams perform for the very adoring fans whove supported him since the beginning.
