Indigenous plants and animals talk on Oct. 13

Landscape architect Carolyn Summers will present a talk called “Our Natural Heritage —The Value and Necessity of Indigenous Plants and Animals” on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. at SUNY Orange. Summers has been designing landscapes in the Hudson Valley for many years, including her own garden in Hastings-on-Hudson. This lecture will fulfill one PDH-CEU for architects and engineers. The lecture is free and open to the public and is the third in the October Lecture Series. Summers will sign her new book, “Designing Gardens with Flora of the American East” following her presentation. Call 341-4891 for more information.
