Holiday music

Stanley Curtis, conductor for the Warwick Valley Chorale, leads the audience in a seasonal sing-along during Sunday night’s program at the Warwick Reformed Church. Curtis also invited audience members to join the chorus on the stage to sing the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “The Messiah.” More than a dozen came forward, including some former members of the chorale. The packed house at the church gave the chorus, the conductor and accompanist Gail Johnson many standing ovations. This is the 70th annual holiday concert for Orange County’s longest running community chorus.
