Green Thumb Gardening Series at library

    Greenwood Lake — The Green Thumb Gardening Series at the Greenwood Lake Public Library is continuing with the help of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County’s Master Gardeners. The series will continue with the following presentations: Plant Propagation - Saturday, Oct. 23,, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Master Gardener, Deborah Bell-Leverock, returns to the library for this gardening session.Learn the basic methods of plant propagation, including which methods are best for different types of plants. The Care and Selection of Holiday Gift Plants - Sunday, Nov. 7,, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Holiday Gift Plants come in a variety of shapes and colors, including the ever-so-popular, poinsettia. Bell-Leverock will talk about the popular plants for holiday gift-giving, introduce you to some new varieties, and guide you in their care. Registration is required for these free adult programs either in person or by telephone at 477-8377, ext. 10. The library is located at 79 Waterstone Road, in Greenwood Lake.
