When British-born artist Lynne Digby came to Orange County 35 years ago, she thought it would be a short stop in her travels. Today, scenes from Orange County are frequently featured in Digby’s work. Recently, she met with Edward Diana to present one of those works she is donating to the County. The piece, “Summer Storm on Pulaski Highway” captures a scene familiar to many Orange County residents. The 30” x 34” oil on canvas artwork received Best-in-Show recognition at the 2005 Orange County Day competition. Digby’s work is in private and corporate collections throughout the U.S., Canada, and Great Britain. A number of her pieces were also leased for use on the set of the HBO TV show “Sex in the City.” For more information about Digby, visit her Web site at www.lynnedigby.com.
