The Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra (GNSO) opens its 2024/25 season on Saturday, September 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Aquinas Hall on the Mount Saint Mary College campus in Newburgh with “A Night at the Opera.”

Maestro Ger shared these sentiments: “The opera has always been very glamorous. There is a huge theater, a vast stage, elaborate sets, fancy costumes, and singers belting it to the back row for all they are worth. So, it feels fitting to open our 30th anniversary season with something we’ve never done before: ‘A Night at the Opera.’ The singers have all chosen their best party songs. And I’ve chosen some of my favorites too. This promises to be a really special night.”

Sharing the stage will be a quartet of soloists, who have performed with some of the best opera companies in the U.S.: sopranos Danielle Pastin and Kirby Burgess, tenor Brad Bickhardt, and baritone Michael Weyandt.

Ticket prices are: $85 for Balcony, $65 for Center Reserved, $55 for General Admission, or $35 for senior citizens (62+). They can be purchased at the door, by visiting newburghsymphony.org or calling 845- 913-7157. Students (with current Student ID) are admitted free to General seating.
