Warwick - The Warwick Historical Society’s latest effort at fund raising is it’s “Anniversary Cookbook: Recipes Old and New,” which has just been published in honor of the 200th anniversaries of three of the society’s buildings. The 288-page illustrated volume features favorite recipes contributed by the society’s members and friends. It was launched at a party given at Baird’s Tavern a few weeks ago honoring more than 50 contributors. Since then sales have been brisk; more than 200 copies have been sold. “It’s a wonderfully successful collaboration between the designer, Nina Kannon-Korte, and editor, Dolores Simon,” said Jo Hull, the director of the Warwick Historical Society. Simon is the co-author of the James Beard Award-winning “Recipes Into Type: A Handbook for Cookbook Writers and Editors.” Kannon-Korte, a talented graphic designer, was able to bring her ideas to fruition. In addition, Robert Fletcher’s drawings of old Warwick appear in a section at the end of the text. Judy Harney is the business manager, Sheila Warner the typographer and Jo Hull the circulation manager. Essential information “Anniversary Cookbook: Recipes Old and New” is on sale at the Baird Tavern Gift Shop (Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), Newhard’s - The Home Source, and Peck’s Wine and Spirits, Inc. The cost is $20. For more information about the Warwick Historical Society, call Jo Hull at 845-986-3236 or send an e-mail to whs@warwick.net.
