Empty bowl fund raiser: Help fight hunger and take home a beautiful bowl

Warwick - The Warwick community is joining together to fight hunger in our community. The Empty Bowls fund raiser to benefit the Backpack Snack Attack Program and Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry will take place on Saturday, April 2 ,at Warwick Valley High School, and will include a performance at 3 p.m. and luncheon at 4 p.m. Local potters will create and donate bowls, which attendees will select for their soup, then take home. Gourmet soups from local chefs’ recipes will be prepared by high school culinary students and will be accompanied by fresh bread and dessert donated by local bakeries. Tickets are: $25 for one; $50 for family; donation ticket is $25. They will also be sold by Warwick area-service organizations: Backpack Snack Attack Committee; Ecumenical Council; Lions Club; Rotary and at local realtors.
