Dog Day Derby coming to historic track on Sunday, Aug. 29

Goshen — The Dog Day Derby of Orange County will be held at the Goshen Historic Track on Sunday, Aug. 29, beginning with registration at 10 a.m. The schedule will include a pooch parade, best dressed, cutest dog, dog races, high jump and other fun doggie games. There will also be a Windy Hollow Fox Hound demonstration. Dogs of all breeds and sizes are welcome as entrants or spectators. Events will be divided into height classes to give all dogs a chance at victory. Attendees are invited to bring their own food and refreshments. Admission is $5 for adults. Kids under 12 are free. Non-competing dogs get in free but must be on a leash at all times. Entry into the dog races and events are open to all dog entrants for a pay-one-price of $20 for all events. Dogs must bring one adult each. Poop scoop laws apply.
