Concert to feature music of Romantic Period

MIDDLETOWN The SUNY Orange Community Orchestra will feature the music of Romantic Period composers Richard Wagner, Johannes Brahms and Antonín Dvoøák during its final concert of the 2010-11 academic year, slated for 8 p.m., Saturday, May 7 at Middletown’s Paramount Theatre. Under the direction of Hilarie Clark Moore, the orchestra will perform the overture from Wagner’s “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg,” Brahms’ “Variations on a Theme by Joseph Haydn” and Dvoøák’s “Symphony No. 8 in G Major, Op. 88.” The orchestra is comprised of SUNY Orange students and members of the community.
