Choral music program is May 11

The Newburgh Symphonic Chorale will present a varied program of choral music inspired by poetry on Sunday, May 11 at 3 p.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church on Grand Street in Newburgh.. Ingrid Narken, a Hudson Valley native, serves as conductor and Gordon Shacklett will provide piano accompaniment. The program will include choral settings of the poetry of William Shakespeare, Thomas Campion, Rudyard Kipling, Samuel Coleridge, Emily Dickinson, Langston Hughes, Sara Teasdale, and Paul Laurence Dunbar.
