Chabad to hold High Holiday Services

Monroe — Chabad will hold High Holiday Services at two locations in Orange County - Monroe and Goshen. Chabad of Orange County will hold services for Rosh Hashanah — the Jewish New Year — (Sept. 8 to 10), as well as Yom Kippur — the Day of Atonement — (Sept, 17 to 18) at the American Legion Banquet Hall, located at 532 Lakes Road in Monroe. “Every Jew is welcome regardless of experience or affiliation,” said Rabbi Pesach Burston, director of Chabad of Orange County. “There is no charge and memberships are not required. Every Jew is a member.” There will be interactive services for children with story time, games, toys, snacks and lots of fun with staff. In addition, on the first day of Rosh Hashanah there will be a special holiday-themed carnival with booths and prizes. All Rosh Hashanah services will be followed by a buffet kiddush. After Yom Kippur, a break-fast will be served. Reservations are appreciated, walk-ins welcome.
