Brook Trout exhibit to open

Cornwall The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will open its new Brook Trout Exhibit on Saturday and Sunday, April 2 and 3, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Wildlife Education Center. A highly sensitive fish, brook trout are sometimes referred to as an “indicator” species, as their disappearance from New York State waters can alert the public to changes in the water system. In celebration of this two day grand opening, activities will include: Special Meet the Animals at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. with live fish presentations, Brookie feeding time at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Visitors will also enjoy games, crafts and activities.
