Howland Chamber Music Circle will open its 2021 season with a live performance by the Ying Quartet on Sunday, Sept. 26, at 4 p.m. at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon.

To attend the concert in person or to access the online stream, tickets are available for purchase at https://howlandmusic.org/CMS_1.html

This will be the first live performance in more than a year. All federal guidelines will be followed to ensure participants’ safety. Concerts will be held at half capacity to enable social distancing, and a proof of vaccination is required upon entry. Masks will be determined by the prevailing federal and local government mandates at concert time.

Now in its third decade, the Ying Quartet has established itself as an ensemble of the highest musical qualifications. They will be playing the exotic music of contemporary composers Zhou Long, Vivian Fung and Tan Dun, and they will round out the program with the enduring music of Haydn and Beethoven.
