    'L’Amour En Plus’ to open at Collage Warwick — Collage Art Gallery, at 24 Railroad Ave. in Warwick, will open its fourth exhibit, “L’Amour en Plus,” on Thursday, Feb. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a reception including light fare, drink and live music. The exhibit will feature subject matter that celebrates Feb. 14, and will also feature a special sub-exhibit that includes work that reflects the theme of romantic and physical love. Dinner will benefit fire department Warwick — Engine Co. #3 will host a roast beef dinner fund raiser on Thursday, Feb. 3. Dinner is one sitting and will be served at 6 p.m. The family style all-you-can eat dinner includes roast beef, freshly mashed potatoes, corn and green beans, gravy, rolls and dessert. Engine Co. #3 is a volunteer fire company in the Warwick Fire Department and is located at 132 South St. Extension. Knights to host Super Bowl party Florida — The Knights of Columbus will host a Super Bowl party starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6, at the hall, located at 75 North Main St., in Florida. Lunch will be catered by the Central Deli in Florida. The game will be shown on a new Westinghouse 42” LED flat screen TV, which will be raffled off at half time. Tickets are $10. The cost for attending the party is $10 for Knights and $15 for non-Knights. Raffle tickets and Super Bowl pool must be paid for no later than Feb. 2. Benefit concert will salute heroes Newburgh — On Friday, Feb. 11, ArtsLEAF, a component of the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, and Trestle Inc., will host “Salute to Heroes, Heroes Among Us,” at Newburgh Free Academy on Friday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. This benefit concert will star international opera singer Patrick Carfizzi, accompanied by pianist Gordon Shacklett, and feature vocalist Mary Kay Messenger and a 60-voice chorus from the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. The program will feature selections from Broadway, jazz, gospel and contemporary music as well as student testimonials, essays and artistic displays about those heroes who inspire young people. On the morning of the concert, Carfizzi and Messenger, accompanied by professional artists in other disciplines, will participate in a series of workshops with students, giving them the opportunity to learn from the creative process of these professionals and to share stories about their heroes and mentors. Proceeds will be donated to ArtsLEAF, Trestle Inc. and VA Medical Center at Castle Point.
