Apprentice Players to present 'Anne Frank'

MIDDLETOWN The Apprentice Player will perform “The Diary of Anne Frank” on the Orange Hall Theatre stage at SUNY Orange for five shows over two weekends, April 15 to 17 and 22 to 23. This new adaptation by Wendy Kesselman contains restored entries from Frank’s original diary that had previously been omitted in the 1947 version of the book, Cabot Parsons has created a set that is historically correct. The production will be directed by Jill Carroll. Melanie McCarthy will portray Anne Frank. Friday and Saturday performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. The Sunday performance will begin at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are: $14, general admission; $10, senior citizens, faculty and alumni; $4, students; and free for active duty military personnel.
