Applewood Winery will celebrate Memorial Day Weekend

    WARWICK-During Memorial Day weekend, live music will be performed at Applewood Winery on both Saturday and Sunday, Saturday, May 28, and Sunday, May 29, Local band, Trainwrecked, is scheduled to perform on Saturday, May 28. "American music about trains and the people who love them" is Trainwrecked specialty. Members of the band are Joe Sardo, Mike McMahon, Thomas Moore, Jeremy Langdale and Michael Bodner, otherwise known as Mr. Joe, Big Mike, Tommy, Big Jay and Bodzilla. Music on both Saturday and Sunday will run from 2 to 5 p.m.. Local duo, Foley Road will perform on Sunday, May 29. Both Foley Road members are long time residents of Warwick. Warwick school board president Kurt Emmerich plays acoustic guitar and harmonica and successful actor James Weatherstone plays acoustic and electric guitar. Foley Road features vocal harmonies and accessible music. They cover a wide variety of artists, such as The Everly Brothers, Fountains of Wayne, The Beatles, Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Sugar Ray. Light lunch is now available to at Applewood Café, including fruit and cheese platters and veggie wraps. Tours of the wine cellar will be offered, free of charge, all weekend. Visitors will be able to meet the winemaker, learn about the various methods of fermentation and see how a small farm winery operates. As always, wine-tasting is available.
