Amity Pottery Workshop holds spring sale
Florida The Amity Arts Pottery Workshop annual spring sale takes place on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 4.p.m. The event is a cooperative effort of 12 clay artists who have either studied with Judy Duboff or work out of the studio. They will display their work in a variety of sizes, shapes, colors and textures. Organizers said highlights of the annual sale include the Mexico-inspired creations of Judy Duboff, which range from dried flower pockets to food storage containers; the design and glazing techniques of Mickey Haglund; and the mystical feminine facial images of Heidi Bilezikian. Emma Gonzalez-Laders offers a variety of table settings for sushi as well as ornaments, trays, vases and vessels. Additionally, Diane Arcieri will feature clay sculptures and JoAnn Quattrone, a holistic healthcare practitioner, will offer balms and ointments in vessels she has created from clay along with her clay leaves and floral trays. Melissa Peterson will offer textured pieces from berry bowls to butter keepers using many glaze techniques. Vicki Botta’s hand-painted trees in forest green on white or natural speckled stoneware appear on bowls, mugs, pitchers and planters. Lynne Ratti and Christine Jacobsen are also participating. Amity Arts Pottery Workshop is located at 480 Route 17A. Call 651-1170 for more information.
