'Please care for each other'

In recent conversations with friends and the e-mails I get, there is concern about and reference to health services for particularly children and those of us on Medicare. The recent trend in thinking seems to be “if you can afford, it you can get it.” Or “If you had worked, you would not have to worry.” No matter what religion you believe in (or not), we really are our brother’s keeper. Do not let us go back to mangled back street abortions with coat hangers, people dying of cancer because they had no money, women without choices and men who get away with gang rape because “she asked for it.” This is The USA. We are unique. We are leaders, not deniers. Please remember how to communicate - and do it - and please care for each other. Paula Hill Harriman
