Sad Monroe

On 3-24-15, against my better judgment, I read another Harley Doles' self-serving diatribe posted in The Photo News "Viewpoints"... something about a guy at one of his personal meetings (that's what they really are ... his and the guy that sits to his right and parrots whatever Doles says) and how this heckler ruined the meeting.

Doles complained because the dog control officer was interrupted. Granted, it wasn't appropriate. However, one needs to understand the level of frustration the people in Monroe are feeling here. I used to love to tune into those meetings that were once called Town Board Meetings.

I work long hours and felt inasmuch as I can't attend, how cool it was to tune in.

I find it impossible to watch now.

Both the crowd and Doles feed off of one another. It has become the Pee Wee Doles Show.

It makes me disgusted and sick to see what has happened to my community. I was raised in Orange County and have resided in Monroe for 16 years.

It's tragic where we now find ourselves.

This town and this county is in the midst of a slow death thanks to the KJ community's actions and sycophants like Doles and those two other guys on his left and right.

Its easier for them to continually discuss how awful the Town of Monroe people are, particularly those that care enough to take the time to attend the Pee Wee Doles Show, instead of leading with transparency and true representation for all of us.

No one of us is more important than the other.

Juxtaposed to Doles letter, directly under it, in that same issue of The Photo News in fact, was a wonderful narrative entitled "You have created an enemy of your own in Monroe and beyond" written by Todd Jennings.

Jennings cut through the nonsense the KJ community has pandered and so beautifully characterized it for what it is: Self-centered greed....

Doles, the guy on his right and the guy on his left, are all along for the KJ ride.

KJ will dump them as soon as they get what they want, which is the total obliteration of this community as it once was and them controlling all of Orange County.

The board will be entirely KJ guys: Bye bye to the Pee Wee Doles Show.

I agree with Todd Jennings: I am "Anti-you-using-our-money-to-fund-your-culture."

Sadly, for sad Monroe, I fear there is no way to stem the tide. Now I must move ... I know I'm not alone ....
