'Keep Woodbury moving in a positive direction'

| 12 Oct 2017 | 05:41

For the past two years, I have had the privilege of serving the residents of Woodbury as a Village Trustee. One of most rewarding aspects of the job has been witnessing the unprecedented level of cooperation between the Town and Village governments under the leadership of Supervisor David Sutz and Mayor Michael Queenan.
Working together they have reduced operating costs by sharing municipal services and expenses when possible.
Integration of Town and Village legal teams in defending ongoing lawsuits against annexation and the DEC/KJ wells alone have saved the Woodbury taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars.
In 2017, for the first time in over ten years, Woodbury residents saw a decrease in both their Town and Village tax bills in the same year.
I urge all my fellow residents to keep Woodbury moving in a positive direction by voting the Common Sense teams of David Sutz, Robert Hunter and Sandra Capriglione and Michael Queenan, Tim Egan and Tom Flood on November 7th.
