Keep Tuxedo as an option

I recently went to the past Board of Education meeting and was shocked by the way members of the community acted when the issue as to where to send our students came up. As the debate continues of to where to send the students of Greenwood Lake, I think we need to be reminded just how much Tuxedo High School has done for the students in the past instead of just focusing on tuition costs. As a graduate of Tuxedo High School I was granted many opportunities that I would not have been able to take advantage of in a larger district. We should also keep in mind the many administrators, counselors, teachers and staff members that help those students do so well. Tuxedo has been our home for many years. We as Greenwood Lake residents have thrived there and were welcomed in Tuxedo when Warwick did no want to take us the last time around. There should be no cost on your child’s educational and emotional welfare. Keep Tuxedo an option, and keep two communities and one school together.
