The first twelve years of U.S. deaths from the AIDS epidemic will soon be surpassed by the number of U.S. COVID-19 deaths.

The U.S. COVID-19 death toll recently exceeded the number of motor vehicle deaths from the previous five and a half years.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports 183,443 deaths from 2015 through 2019.
