40 Days for Life

The most urgent life and civil rights issue of our day is abortion. Worldwide, 56 million children are killed in the womb each year. Each one of these children is a precious gift from God. And for every child who dies in an abortion there is at least one other victim - the mother of that child. These women end up emotionally, spiritually and physically scarred with an increased risk of anxiety, depression, breast cancer and suicide.
The 40 Days for Life campaign is a global effort of prayer, fasting and peaceful vigil to bring an end to abortion. This Lent, as part of 40 Days for Life, people from across our communities are joining in prayerful witness at the Goshen Planned Parenthood. We are also praying and fasting for mothers threatened or overwhelmed by their pregnancy, for innocent children at risk of perishing, and for men and women who carry the pain of a past abortion experience.
