Tuxedo - The Town of Tuxedo Police are asking for the public’s help in their investigation of a hit-and-run accident on Feb. 16 involving a tractor trailer and a small car on State Route 17 northbound that left the driver of the car seriously injured. The incident happened at about 6:13 that Wednesday evening in the area of Patterson Hill Road. According to Lt. John P. Norton, Ellen M. Currid, 35, of Warwick. was extricated by Tuxedo Joint Fire Department and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern by Tuxedo Ambulance Corps, where she received care for damage and injury to her face. Norton said 135 stitches were required. The tractor trailer involved continued north on Route 17 without stopping.
