Results from the NYS Indoor Track Championships

    STATEN ISLAND — Twenty-three athletes (17 girls and 6 boys) competed in the New York State Public High School Championship meet last weekend at the Ocean Breeze complex in Staten Island.
    Kristin Lubeskie placed fourth in the Pole Vault with a jump of 12’ 6” - a personal best for her.
    The girls 4X400m relay team placed sixth in NYS public high schools and seventh in the Federation (public and private) standings.
    The final event of the indoor season is the New Balance National Meet next Friday in New York City.
    The boys will be sending a Sprint Medley team and the girls will send two Sprint Medley teams and a shuttle relay team to the national championship.

    Girls
    • 1500 meter race walk: Margaret Ryan, 9th in a time of 7:40.98 (Finals H2 Girls Racewalk)
    • 1000 meter run: Daniella Napoli, 27th in a time of 3:09.40 (Finals H1 Girls 1000m)
    • 3000 meter run: Jessica Pidgeon, 22nd in a time of 10:33.62 SB (Finals H1 Girls 3000m)
    • 55 meter hurdles: Lisa Jacobsen, 21st in a time of 8.97 (Prelims H3 Girls 55HH Prelims)
    • 4x200 meter relay: Relay Team, 10th in a time of 1:45.38 SB (Prelims H3 Girls 4x200m Prelims)
    • 4x400 meter relay: Relay Team, 4th in a time of 4:02.12 (Prelims H1 Girls 4x400m Prelims)
    • 4X400 meter relay: Relay Team, 7th in a time of 4:05.23 (Finals H2)
    • Triple jump: Eyram Agbeli, 20th with a leap of 34-0
    • Pole vault: Kristin Lubeskie, 4th with a vault of 12-6
    • Pole vault: Gabrielle Nebiker, 17th with a vault of 10-0

    • 300 meter dash: Jeremy Veras, 26th in a time of 39.08 (Prelims H5 Boys 300m Prelims)
    • 1000 meter run: Trevor Ladue, 15th in a time of 2:34.08 (Finals H3 Boys 1000m)
    • 55 meter hurdles: Richmond Boateng, 19th in a time of 7.98 (Prelims H2 Boys 55HH Prelims)
    • Long jump: Owen Kelly, 22nd with a jump of 19-5.75 (Finals H1Boys Long Jump)
    • Triple jump: Nichloas Villanueva, 21st with a jump of 42-3 (Finals H1)
