CENTRAL VALLEY — Head coach Penny Roberts and Assistant Coach Elaine Schellberg are getting the Monroe-Woodbury Varsity Softball Team ready to challenge for the Section 9 Title again this year.
Last year the Crusaders finished the season with an outstanding 17-6 record. The 2017 season came to dramatic end in the Section 9 title game when they lost 3-2 to the Kingston Tigers.
This year's team appears to be ready to take the next step with a strong group of veterans and talented newcomer.
The Crusaders are scheduled to open their season at home on Wednesday, April 4, at 4 p.m. against the Gladiators of Goshen.
