Monroe Roller Hockey fall champions crowned

— The first place Chiefs of the Monroe Roller Hockey League defeated the streaking Hat Trix 13-7 Saturday to capture the Majors Division Crusader Cup.
The Chiefs skated out to an early lead in the first period before the Trix nearly tied the game in the second.
Finally, the Chiefs pulled away in the third period to win the championship and lift the Championship Cup.
Connor Fischer and Michael Ballinger led the Chiefs' offense, lighting the lamp five times each and earning one assist each.
John Dolan scored two goals and Chris Pezzella tacked on one more goal with three assists. Brendan Doyle earned an assist.
Goalie Ari Ross stood his ground in goal for the win and also got an assist on a Chiefs' goal.
The champion Chiefs were coached by Tom Pezzella and John Fischer.
For the Hat Trix, Danny McKeon scored four goals with one assist, Michael Scotto got two goals and an assist, and Joe Alcide tacked on a goal. Franz McGuiness and Chris Nobles each earned two assists.
The Trix were coached by John and Kate McGuiness and James Alcide.
Minors DivisionIn one of the most exciting and intensely played Minors Division championship games in league history, the Golden Knights upset the undefeated Predators 6-5 in an overtime stunner to capture the Crusader Cup.
Goalie David Hoagland led the Knights in a see-saw battle through three periods and was unbeatable in overtime.
Nicky LoBrutto (three goals, three assists) and Tyler Bitzer (two goals, three assists) guided the Knights' offense with Christian LoBrutto (one goal, three assists) scoring the overtime winner.
Ethan Gacheny and George Gacheny each earned an assist.
The Golden Knights were coached by Rosario LoBrutto, Anthony Leone and Jeff Bitzer.
For the Predators, Landon Albano (two goals, one assist) scored a dramatic game-tying goal assisted by Mendy Ross (two goals, two assists) and Vincent O'Hara (one goal, three assists) with less than a minute remaining in regulation time sending the crowd into a frenzy and the championship into overtime.
Lily Mahoney earned two assists and Peter McCormick earned one. Goalie Koby Ross showed grit in net shaking off a late injury and making several spectacular saves helping his team reach overtime.
The Predators were coached by Adam Ross, Bill O'Hara and Andy Forestieri.
