Florida U10 boys' soccer team remains perfect

Florida - On Sunday, the Florida U10 boys’ team upped their record to 4-0 this spring season by defeating S.U.F.C. in Plattekill. In the first half Jake Kinley booted the ball into the net over the goalkeeper’s head to score the first point of the game. A few minutes later, James Mythen returned the ball back into the net to end the first half with a score of 2-0. After the second half began, Tim Thompson scored on an indirect kick lifting, Florida up by three. S.U.F.C. scored two points back-to-back to put the pressure back on Florida. Florida did not back down, and scored two more goals by Nicholas Thomas and Mike Pawliczek to end the game with a final score of 5-2. Florida will play their next game on Mother’s Day at home against the Pumas of Newburgh at 1 p.m. They beat the Pumas earlier in the season by a score of 2-0.
