CENTRAL VALLEY — On Saturday afternoon, Jan. 27, the Crusaders hosted the undefeated and highly ranked Bushmen of Pine Bush High School.
The Bushmen entered the game having already beaten the Crusaders earlier in the season by double digits at Pine Bush.
On Saturday, the Crusaders they did not get off to the start that they had hoped for as the Bushmen jumped out to a 20-2 lead and finished off the first quarter with a 24-8 lead.
The Bushmen increased their lead to 21 points by the half with some great passing and strong defense.
By the end of the third quarter the game was over except for the finale score as the Bushmen pulled out to a 62-32 lead.
In the fourth quarter, with both teams emptying their benches, the Crusaders cut into the lead but the Bushmen went on to a 71-46 victory.
Chance Green (12 points) and Jayson Ongondo (seven points) led the Crusaders offense.
The loss brings the team's record to 7-7 on the season.
