Monroe - Close to 800 people and 100 children attended Sacred Heart Church’s annual Christmas Bazaar, held last Sunday in the school gym. “This was our biggest and best bazaar yet,” said Committee Chair Kim Ladka. “And our Christmas Tea Room, created by Aimee Dick and Cindy Shea, was a beautiful setting where we could serve our gourmet teas and scones.” Santa made an early visit and he was also a big hit this year. All the children who visited Santa were also given the opportunity to place their wish lists in a nearby box. “We had many generous local vendors that donated items for the event,” said Ladka. “They included Stop and Shop, Home Goods, Amendola’s, Lady Fingers Bake Shoppe, Fran’s Hallmark and The Gift Box in Monroe.” “As always, we appreciate the hard work and dedication by all those who helped make our annual Christmas Bazaar such a wonderful success,” said Sacred Heart Pastor Rev. Thomas Byrnes. “And we thank everyone who attended and supported this important fundraising event for our church and school.” All net proceeds will be used to benefit Sacred Heart Church and Elementary School. Next year’s Christmas Bazaar is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 20. For information e-mail sacredheartcraftfair@gmail.com
