Monroe Woodbury Rotary Secretary Marjorie McCoy presented a check for $8,100 to Major Don Spencer of the Salvation Army at the Rotary Club’s meeting at the end of January. The club has coordinated the local Salvation Army kettle campaign since 1983, raising $155,82 to date. Rotarians, aided by volunteers from the community and M-W High School Interact Service Club, “rang the bell” weekends in December and on Christmas Eve outside ShopRite, Stop & Shop and Walmart. The MW Rotary Club meets for breakfast every Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Monroe.
