— The second annual Christmas Market on the lawn at St. Mary's-in-Tuxedo Episcopal Church will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, from 2 to 6 p.m.
This market, featuring hand-made ornaments, baked goods and more, is created by the Youth Group and their families.
The Youth Group is sponsored by Saint Mary's Church and is open to anyone 11-18 years of age.
The mission of the group is to help those in need in their communities and beyond.
The 2017 theme is "helping animals in need."
This year, money and food donations have been collected through car washes, can drives, a Halloween pet-costume contest and a cake walk.
Donations have been sent to animals affected by the hurricanes in Texas and Florida as well as the local animal shelter.
A festive Christmas concert, performed by the Rockland County Concert Band, follows at 6 p.m. on Dec. 9 and is a free-will offering for the Sloatsburg Food Pantry.
The church is located at 10 Fox Hill Road in Tuxedo Park.
Vendors of locally made items are welcomed; contact episcopalyouthfellowship@gmail.com.
