A holiday tree will be lit on Sunday, Dec. 3, in front of Smith's Clove Park in Monroe, starting at 5:30 p.m.
MONROE — A holiday tree will be lit on Sunday, Dec. 3, in front of Smith's Clove Park in Monroe, starting at 5:30 p.m.
There also will be caroling, plus the arrival of Santa.
After the tree lighting, there will be a holiday celebration in the park's activity room. There will be door prizes, refreshments, a goodie bag and photo opts with Santa and Olaf from "Frozen."

Winter FestivalMeanwhile, the Village of Monroe will host a Winter Festival on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Street and Millpond Parkway in downtown Monroe.
The festival will include arts and crafts, bonfire, hayrides and a float parade.
