Harriman Police earn re-accreditation

HARRIMAN — The Village of Harriman Police Department has been re-accredited by the New York State Commission on Police Accreditation.
The Harriman Police Department was originally accredited on Dec. 13, 2012, and has to be re-accredited every five years. Approximately 25 percent of police departments are accredited in New York State.
The department has to meet more than 110 standards and show that its members are complying with the department's policies and procedures.
The department has 11 sworn members.
