ALBANY — It looks like it was a good year for grape growers in New York state.

Final numbers for this year's harvest are not in. But Gov. Andrew Cuomo says growers around the state are reporting abundant harvests, especially on Long Island.

New York ranks third in wine and grape production nationwide, with the crop value estimated at $52.3 million last year. Grapes from New York are used in wines, juices and jellies.

Cuomo says the successful harvest will give the state's wine industry a boost.
