Friendly Visitor Volunteer Training set for April 19th in the Town of Woodbury

— Jewish Family Service of Orange County, the Orange County Office for the Aging and the Town of Woodbury will host Friendly Visitor Volunteer Training on Thursday, April 19.
According to the Friendly Visitor Program, there us an urgent need for drivers to take seniors to appointments. In Orange County, many older adults are choosing to age in the comfort of their own homes. Providing a ride to a medical appointment can foster better physical and mental health for them.
The Friendly Visitor Program trains and matches volunteers with neighbors who need help.
Pre-registration is required and location will be given upon registration. Background checks are included.
All ages are welcome.
For training locations and more information and to register, call Paula Blumenau at 845-341-1173 ext. 305 or email pblumenau@jfsorange.org.
