MONROE — Museum Village in Monroe will host another farmers market Sunday, March 18, where fresh produce from local farmers will be available for sale.
“The market will provide individuals in the area with access to high quality, locally grown and produced foods year-round,” said Kristy Apostolides, the Agriculture and Farmland Protection Plan coordinator.
Apostolides said people tend to hang out a bit more at farmers' markets, talk to each other and the vendors, share recipes, stories and experiences about food.
"It really allows people to talk with others they maybe wouldn't meet otherwise,” said Apostolides. “When you buy local product, you are investing in yourself and your community.”
