Goshen Senior Center - August news

| 22 Feb 2012 | 01:26

We have some very special young people in Goshen. Join me in thanking the girls from Girl Scout Troop 145 for their ongoing help in managing the Senior Center’s lending library. It has never been more organized! Also, join me in thanking Nicholas Merenyi, his fellow scouts from Boy Scout Troop 66 and their families for the excellent job they did landscaping the grounds at the Senior Center. Nicholas chose landscaping the Center as his project to earn the Eagle Scout award. This month there will be no movies and no lunch on the fourth Monday of this month, due to conflicts with my vacation schedule and due to lack of attendance for movies. I will resume these activities in the fall. I’m sorry to report that Louise, our Dancercise instructor, has to give up the class due to her personal schedule. She did, however, find a new instructor. Join Louise on Wednesday, Aug. 5 where she will be introducing her replacement, Shelly Fraddin. The book discussion will take place on Friday, Aug.27. This month’s discussion will be about the book “Zoli” by Colum McCann. Please remember to pay your $5 monthly exercise class fee the first week of each month. Put your name on the provided envelopes with the $5 in it and place the envelope in the registration box on the wall. Thank you.
