Tuxedo Park — Tuxedo Park School’s Coffee Hour Speaker Series continues on Friday, Nov. 19, at 8:45 a.m. with a presentation called “Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies: Teaching Children to Love Themselves Inside and Out.” The speaker is Nancy Graham, a certified therapist at the Renfrew Center of Northern New Jersey, a facility for the prevention and treatment of eating disorders. She will talk with parents and faculty about how to promote a healthy self-image for every child. Organizers said boys and girls are bombarded with messages and images in the media, at school, and even at home, that can erode their self-confidence. Negative self-image can often lead to unhealthy choices and ultimately serious problems including eating disorders and the use of drugs. The event is free and open to the public.
