College notes

Graduations Margaret Kling of Highland Mills was among the 200 students who graduated from SUNY Potsdam in December. Margaret earned a degree in performance music. Dean’s list Kaitlin Paige Dunn of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at the State University of New York at Cortland. A graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, Kaitlin is a junior at Cortland where she is studying psychology. Last summer, Kaitlin studied abroad through the Semester at Sea Program. Hillary Lindsay, class of 2013 at Connecticut College in New London and a resident of Tuxedo Park, has been named to the dean’s high honors list for the 2010 fall semester. Michele Mertens of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at Emerson College in Boston, Mass. The criterion to make Emerson’s dean’s list is a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 or higher. Lindsey Mischik of Harriman has earned honors for the fall semester of the 2010-2011 academic year at the University of New Hampshire. Students whose grade point average is 3.2 through 3.49 are awarded honors. Shannon Frances Riordan of Monroe was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at SUNY Oneonta with a GPA of 3.8. Brittany Gutierrez of Monroe, a sophomore at SUNY Oneonta was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester with a GPA of 3.6. A 2009 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, she is the daughter of Kevin and Gina Gutierrez.
