Goshen — If you plan to do some spring cleaninig this weekend, John S. Burke Catholic High School will take some of the clutter off your hands. That’s because Burke is hosting a used clothing and household goods drive from Friday, April 1, through Monday, April 4. Usable and wearable clothing for all seasons - men’s, women’s and children’s - is being accepted. Have some old pocketbooks and backpacks? Shoes, belts, hats, gloves, scarves and ties? Those are acceptable, too. On the household side, blankets, sheets, pillows, quilts, comforters, kitchen and bath accessories made of fabric, table cloths, curtains and towels are also being collected. Want to get rid of some stuffed animals, action figures, dolls, Beanie Babies and the like? Bag them and drop them off. All items collected will be sent to Third World countries. Donations must be placed in well-tied garbage bags. Shoes must be bagged separately from clothes. Bring your donations to the front entrance of Burke High School, 80 Fletcher St. in Goshen. Any questions, call 845-325-4638 or e-mail jmjuli@warwick.net.
