Timothy 'Beefy' Stewart

Timothy Stewart of Chester, affectionately known as "Beefy," passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017. He was 54 years old.
The son of the Shelton H. Stewart and Catherine Monahan Stewart, he was born Feb. 7, 1963, in Suffern.
Beefy was a truck driver for AMH Enterprises of Bridgeville, Delaware. He was the widower of Patricia M. Hawkes Stewart, who predeceased him in 2008.
Beefy was a devoted husband and father who loved his family and was always willing to help others. His true passion for more than 36 years was being a truck driver who traveled the entire U.S.A.
Survivors include his loving children: Patrick J. Stewart of Chester and his daughter Colleen M. Stewart and her partner Martin Sikorski of Chester; brother Shelton Stewart and his wife Patricia of Coventry, Conn.; his sister Deborah Nickerson and her husband Roberto of Huerta, Fla.; his brother-in-law Fred Hawkes and his wife Jill of Harriman; sisters-in-law Jackie Pawlowski of Chester and Laura Valure of Chester; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Beefy was predeceased by his brother Martin Stewart and sister Mary Grace Gordon.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe.
Interment will follow in St. Anastasia Cemetery, Harriman.
