Theresa “Terry” C. Hauser passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at her home in Harriman. She was 92 years old.
The daughter of Christian Schwinn and Catherine Gill Schwinn, she was born on May 9, 1928, in Pearl River.
Terry worked as a computer room aide for the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District in Central Valley. She was an avid runner and she completed the New York City Marathon three times, an accomplishment for which she and her family were very proud.
Terry is survived by her three sons: George W. Hauser III of Harriman; Douglas C. Hauser of Croton; and Eric R. Hauser and his wife Christina of Harriman. Also surviving are her seven grandchildren: Courtney, Matthew, Mark, Caitlin, Eric Thomas, Doug Jr., and Elizabeth; in addition to two great-grandchildren: Brice and Shea.
Terry was predeceased by her husband George W. Hauser, Jr., and by her brother Howard Schwinn.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Smith, Seaman, and Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
A graveside service and interment will be officiated by Chaplain Gary O’Connor on Wednesday, April 21, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anastasia Cemetery, 21 N. Main St., Harriman.
