Sister Mary Casimira Ritaccio

Sister Mary Casimira Ritaccio, CSAC, a member of the congregation of the Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate (Pallottines), died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at Queen of Apostles Convent, Monroe. She was 87 years old.
Sister Casimira was born April 28, 1930, in Capone, Italy, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Ritaccio. She entered the Pallottine Sisters in December 1948 in Italy and came to the United States in October 1953. She made her final Profession of Vows on Sept. 8, 1956.
Sister celebrated her Golden Jubilee in 1999 and severed as a Religious for 68 years.
Sister Casimira served her community and the people of God in Dante Orphanage, Pa., Sacred Heart Orphanage, N.J., St. Patrick’s Villa, St. Patrick’s Academy and St. Joseph’s Convent, Monroe, and retired at Queen of Apostles Convent in Monroe in 2005.
Sister is survived by her brother, Brother Antonio Ritaccio, a Pallottine Brother in Italy; her nephew, Father Antonio Ritaccio, a priest in London, England, and his sisters, her nieces.
Sister Casimira was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Ritaccio.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Queen of Apostles Convent in Monroe.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m. at Queen of Apostles Chapel, 98 Harriman Heights Road, Monroe. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Monroe.
